Merry Christmas!!  A happy holiday wish to all.  I am currently in Florida visiting my parents. My sister, brother-in-law, and 14 month old neice is here too!  It has been a very relaxing holiday and has been great to spend it with the family.   I head back to California and will have a few days before the New Year and time to start focusing on the 2007 season.  Check back in a couple days for a journal article on what I have done during the off season!

The ITU has made the decision to change the long course distance from 4k-180k-30k, to a double olympic distance (3k-80k-20k).  A number of elites, including myself, are against this change.  We feel it takes away from the challenge and the 'long course' part of the event.   Click on the link below for the article and petition started by Jonas Colting and other athletes at the recent ITU long course worlds.  http://www.xtri.com/article.asp?id=1907&page=1
