Getting ready for the World Champs!
By Linda GalloNovember 16, 2006
Greetings from Down Under! I am in Canberra, Australia for the ITU Long COurse World Championships. Check the journal to see how things are going leading up to the race.
Linda finishes 4th at Treasure Island!
By Linda GalloNovember 07, 2006
Check out the journal page for a race report. I didn't think this would be possible, but I think I am actually more sore after this race than Ironman Hawaii! In addition to my two black toenails (the big toenails!), my right calf is super tight. I went for my first run today (4 days post race) and was having a bit of trouble as my leg never loosened up. Maybe stretching and rolling over the last few days would have been a good idea... : ) I finally did that tonight and hopefully it will be ready to go tomorrow.
This week is going to be busy as I leave for Australia in 6 days. Exciting!!
Feeling recovered
By Linda GalloNovember 02, 2006
I am feeling recovered from my efforts in Hawaii and after what I deemed to be a suboptimal performance (although everyone I know thinks differently!), I am fired up to race again. This weekend I will be doing the final race in the TriCalifornia Professional Series. It is a draft legal race on Treasure Island. I have done this race 4 times in the past, so I know the course and am looking forward to leaving it all out there and having a good race.
More to come post race. In the mean time, check out the new IM Kona photos! Yep, I finally added some new pics..
