I raced the Vineman 70.3 this past weekend and it resulted in my second DNF ever.  This one was with good reason.  Check out the newest journal entry for a race report and injury status.  I'll keep you updated on how I'm healing...

The Catfish 1.2 and 2.4 miles swims were this past Sunday in Stevens Creek Reservoir.  Due to the heat wave we have been experiencing, the water was 79 degrees.  And, the air temp was in the 80s by the start of the swim at 8am!!   The 1.2 mile swim is first and it was a sprint to the line with the top guys.  I finished as the first woman and third overall.   Then the 2.4 mile swim.  This one was tough!  I hung on to the first two guys and again finished third overall and first women.   The course was about 1.5 to 2 minutes long over the 1.2 miles.   Overall it was a fun day.  A journal entry on the past few weeks of training is coming soon!  Vineman 70.3 this Sunday.
